Blades everywhere

We started out with modals (views in the middle of the screen) for doing things like creating or editing records. The challenge was when things got complex / detailed like describing orders or rules for inventory. We've now moved over to side bars or "blades" that appear on the right-hand side to give you more room and lower risk when working with your data. Data entry still sucks but this will make it suck a little less.
